Building on this success, the 2nd edition of ILAP (2025-26) aims to expand its reach to include students belonging to four disability categories – intellectual disability, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy and visual impairment. In the second edition, the focus of expansion is on expanding the number of disabilities and therefore geographically, the focus is on one state, Karnataka.
Employing the following strategic approaches, we aim to reach the maximum number of schools:
- Partner with the government of Karnataka to incentivize schools to participate in ILAP
- Conduct teacher empowerment programs with a focus on project-based pedagogy
- Provide additional support to teachers and students through volunteer engagement
- Support selects schools to foster an ecosystem within the school to promote interest in STEAM through science labs and/or art corners These strategies are designed to foster greater participation, improve project quality, and push the boundaries of creativity and innovation. Lessons learned from the first edition will guide us in strengthening our approach toward providing an equitable and inclusive platform for students to showcase their project-based learning experiences.
